The 9 tested rice bran oil brands had met the FSSAI standard requirements and thus are safe for consumption. They were found free from argemone oil and adulteration of other oils. Oryzanol was found well above the specified limit which is a natural antioxidant and is known to reduce the absorption and deposition of low-density lipoprotein (LDL).
